On 05/04/18, San Diego City Contractor, Burtech Pipeline 760-634-2822, was trenching the 5400 block of Olive street in Zipcode 92105 between Blackton Dr and 55th street, replacing old Cast Iron water pipes. Apparently, the COX Fiber Optic line, which travels down a telephone pole on the South side of Olive Street and the alley, then goes under Olive street, to feed the College Grove Condominium complex on the North side, was severed. Several COX maintenance vehicles arrived in the afternoon. COX maintenance personnel worked through the night to restore service. Shortly after arrival, a COX maintenance worker accessed the Fiber Optic line and other COX cables attached to the telephone pole in the truck's "Cherry Picker" basket. While working in the elevated position, the worker released the tension on the COX Internet cable, which runs to my residence (5455 Olive St, San Diego 92105).
