Went to The Grapes, Sutton, Surrey on 7 May. My friend decided to have the afternoon special of gammon with a drink. After she had paid she realized she had paid too much. We queried this and was told she should have stated she wanted the afternoon special but had been charged for the dearer gammon off the menu. We asked for this to be canceled so she could have the cheaper option. But was told no. When we spoke to the Manager he said the same. Surely she should have been asked when ordering which option she wanted. We love the Weatherspoon and go often with friends. So not trying to get anyone in trouble but were unhappy with this. Being OAPs every penny counts.
