Our building contractor used all Super Seal windows when the house was built in 1995. The windows operate fine, but I can see sealant deterioration where the 2 glass panes meet the aluminum spacer between the panes. The sealant is gray in color and is cracking and curling up. I just noticed the cracking/curling in the past 12 months. We live in southcentral PA. We built an addition to the house in 2006 and used Super Seal Casement windows in that section. I have not seen any seal deterioration on those units.
We assume the Argon gas between the panes has not escaped since there is no clouding between the panes. Should I expect the performance of the windows installed in 1995 to lose their insulating factor? We plan to live here another 10 years but fear this problem we are notified when we go to market the property. We have 15 windows from the original build ranging in size from 28 x 63 up to 51 x 70.
I can send pictures if helpful. Is there anything we can do to reduce the deterioration of the seals. We have no leaks that we can see or feel.

Hello, I bought a house full of hurd windows shortly after they were installed hurd filed bankruptcy. leaving us with no warranty coverage and we had some real issues with a couple of the windows one that we have lived with for a while and want to replace before fall, I realize you won't replace it but can you give us a discounted price to fix it, a while back hurd did offer this to us but we simply could not afford it at that time.
