- Terrible experience at Oshawa driver test center

I am very sad about the experience at Oshawa driver test center. Today my son went to do his G test, examiner Mandy asked him to sign his signature and he signed it in English but he didn't realize the way he signed should be in Chinese. Mandy only said that the signature is incorrect, told him good luck next time and left immediately with my son's license without further instructions, leaving my son in the car. My son puzzled and thought he failed and he couldn't understand what mistakes he made. He almost went back home, but realized Mandy still kept his license without telling him. It was truly an awful experience because as new immigrants, lots of people sign the signatures in both their native language and in English at different documents. Even if this is not right, it is a very common issue, especially in Toronto, the big multi-culture city. I believe the purpose of a driver exam center and examiner is to test people. And issue a license to people who have adequate driving skills, not to give people a hard time just because they don't sign their signature consistently. There is a photo on the driver license which Mandy can check, or she can ask my son to present other ID to prove himself if she thinks he is not the same person. This is not a government officer's proper professional conduct. When I complained to the manager, she even didn't want to listen and was very rude as well. She said they don't have any responsibility to explain. Yes, you can say that, but is that a nice way to work with people as a government officer? Is the purpose of your work to help people or to give them a hard time to show your power?
