- M Retest and Booking Issues

First, the booking system for Northern Ontario is terrible. I was not able to book last year at all due to Covid-19 backups, which is understandable. While trying to book for this year, I had no available appointments from Thunder Bay to Sudbury (11hrs differences between these two cities) or no available appointments for the entire summer that I could attend. I had to check every day every couple of hours for an available appointment and luckily I found one in Thunder Bay. I live in Marathon, so I had to drive 3.5hrs one way (7hrs in total) to make it to an available M road test. I made the drive and did my road test. It was pouring rain and cold the entire drive up to Thunder Bay and during the road test. I ended up failing my road test due to riding on the left-hand side of the lane. I didn't pass over the lines at all, but the road on the left side of the lane due to the roads being completely covered in rain. And the right-hand side of the road was extremely rough in the city. In fact, during your practice tests and on your MTO handbook, it says to ride in the left lane. So how did I fail my M test when your handbook and tests state they ride in the left lane? I refuse to ride in the center of the lane during wet weather. Because it can get slippery and the right-hand side of the roads in Thunder Bay are extremely rough/full of potholes?which is very unsafe for a motorcycle. I was very disappointed when I failed?I have so much experience and I know that I am a good and safe driver. The instructor told me that I do not meet "Ministry Standards" and because I rode on the left-hand side of the lane I failed. The Ministry Standards indicate riding on the left-hand side of the lane! I drove 7hrs for basically nothing and I feel that the reasoning why I failed is completely unfair. The instructor told me to retry in 3 days but I had to be back to work and I couldn't stay 4 nights in Thunder Bay. The only other available appointment that I can make is in Hearst.
